Pairs well with
This bronze from ancient Neapolis pairs Apollo, god of clarity and proportion, with a river deity crowned by Victory — a quiet meditation on order and strength. Set simply in sterling silver and left without a bail, it is not meant to hang from the neck, but to rest in the hand or pocket: an everyday relic of the classical world.
The History
Neapolis was one of the great crossroads of the ancient Mediterranean, where Greek colonists brought their art and religion to Southern Italy. This coin was struck during the early years of Rome’s alliance with Greek cities in the region, when Neapolis’ vineyards and festivals became symbols of its prosperity.
The man-headed bull, crowned by Nike, represented the union of divine power, natural fertility, and civic pride. Its bold imagery marked Neapolis as both deeply rooted in Greek tradition and open to the influence of Rome.

The Athenian Owl pendants are awesome! We're saving the gift for a special occasion. My wife loved it, she got it and was all hushed quiet, that smile while opening and handling it for the first few minutes. It's special.
