What makes Peregrine Pendants jewelry unique?

Our pendants aren’t just jewelry—they’re history you can wear. Each piece features a genuine ancient coin, carefully set in 18k gold or sterling silver to showcase its unique beauty and story. Every design preserves authenticity while bringing timeless artistry into today.

Are the coins real?

Yes—every coin is authentic and centuries old. We source exclusively from trusted dealers who guarantee their authenticity for life. Each pendant includes a certificate and a brief history of the coin.

Where do you source the coins?

We work with a small network of trusted numismatic dealers, primarily in the U.S. and Europe. Many of our coins have passed through reputable auctions or long-standing private collections.

What are the coins made of?

Most of our coins are silver or bronze. The metal, origin, and time period are always listed in the product description.

Are the settings handmade?

Yes. Each pendant is hand-set by Joost van Rossum in our Chicago studio. The settings are custom-made for each coin in either 18k gold or sterling silver—never mass-produced or pre-made.

Can I choose between gold or silver?

Yes. Most pendants are available in both 18k gold and sterling silver. You’ll find both options listed on each product page. If not, feel free to contact us for a custom request.

Do you take custom orders?

Absolutely. If you have a specific coin or setting in mind—or even a coin of your own—we’re happy to collaborate. Visit our custom orders page to get started.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We ship worldwide using tracked, insured delivery through reliable carriers.

How should I care for my pendant?

To ensure your jewelry stays beautiful for years to come, we recommend the following:

Avoid polishing or scrubbing the coin itself, as ancient patinas can be delicate.

A soft cloth can be used on the bezel (setting) if needed.

We include care instructions with every order to help you maintain the quality and beauty of your pendant.

Is it legal to own ancient coins?

Yes. All of our coins are legally acquired and exported in accordance with U.S. and international laws. We do not work with coins considered restricted cultural property.

What metals do you use for the settings?

We offer custom settings in 18k gold and sterling silver. Both metals are chosen for their quality, durability, and timeless appeal. Whether you prefer the luxury of gold or the elegance of silver, we ensure that each setting complements the ancient coin it holds.
