Roman Republic Janus Denarius Pendant - 119 BCE | Hand-set in solid 18k gold

$825.00
Sold Out - Please email info@peregrinpendants.com to inquire about a similar pendant.

This pendant features an authentic Roman silver denarius, minted in 119 BCE during the Roman Republic — hand-set in a custom 18k gold bezel that follows the natural contours of the coin. Unlike mass-produced bezels made for round modern coins, this one is carefully crafted to protect and complement the irregular beauty of ancient silver.

A similar coin pendant is currently listed on Etsy for $685, but uses a pre-fabricated bezel and lacks the artisan detail and durability of this piece. This pendant is built to last, both in form and historical value.

To appreciate the pendant’s scale and craftsmanship, see the photo showing the piece next to a U.S. quarter (coming soon). The bezel was formed, hammered over the coin’s edge, then sanded and polished to a smooth finish — all by hand.

The coin was sourced from one of Britain’s premier ancient coin dealers and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
