The front of the coin features the helmeted head of Athena, goddess of wisdom and war. The reverse shows the iconic owl of Athena, symbol of knowledge and the city itself, along with a crescent moon, olive branch, and the letters ΑΘΕ, meaning “of the Athenians.”
Each pendant is hand-set and one of a kind, with slight variations that reflect the coin’s authenticity and age.
