Romulus and Remus Coin Pendant – Rome’s Mythic Origins | 18k Gold Setting

$1,150.00

This pendant features a genuine bronze follis struck during the reign of Emperor Constantine I (circa AD 334), commemorating the founding of Rome. On the obverse is the helmeted bust of Roma, the personification of the eternal city. The reverse displays the legendary image of the she-wolf suckling Romulus and Remus—the twin brothers who, according to myth, founded Rome. Above them floats a Chi-Rho flanked by two stars—a subtle merging of Rome’s pagan past and its Christian future.

Struck nearly 1,700 years ago, this coin embodies the mythological and historical richness of the Roman world. Set by hand in solid 18k gold, the piece serves as both talisman and testament—a bridge between Rome’s mythic roots and Constantine’s Christian empire.

Each Peregrine Pendant is handcrafted around an authentic ancient coin—2,000 years old or more—and set with care in precious metal. Whether Greek, Roman, or otherwise, these coins once passed through real hands in history and now find new life as heirloom jewelry. Every piece is made to order or individually selected, preserving its unique marks and story. Our clients often describe the experience as holding a piece of history in their hand—and wearing it close to the heart.
